B i o g r a p h y

Mr. Micah Davison holds his Master of Arts degree in Music – Instrumental Performance in the area of percussion from California State University Fresno, having studied with Dr. Matthew Darling. During his studies, he won the Fresno State Concerto Competition not once, but twice, in 2015 and 2017. As a winner, he performed David Gillingham’s Concerto No. 2 for Marimba and Wind Ensemble, and Ney Rosauro's Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra with the Fresno State Wind Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Gary P. Gilroy. 

Mr. Davison currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Music in the area of percussion at Fresno Pacific University and at Reedley College. He is a section percussionist with the Wind Symphony of Clovis, recently performing Viet Cuong's "Re(new)al" as one of the percussion soloists. Mr. Davison is an active freelance percussionist in the Fresno County area and throughout the San Joaquin Valley, frequently serving as a substitute and additional player with the Sequoia Symphony Orchestra. Other notable performances include the Fresno Community Chorus, Bakersfield Symphony, Merced Symphony, and the Fresno Philharmonic.
